How to use your AlveoPrep practice record
A practice record is most useful when you know what it measures. Here is how to work through questions and read your results in AlveoPrep.
Begin with an unanswered question
Open ADAT Prep and choose “Start Smart Practice.” You can also choose a topic. The practice screen draws from questions marked as reviewed in the bank, and unanswered mode excludes questions you have already submitted an answer to.
Read the explanation before moving on
Select one answer. After it is saved, the screen shows the correct option and the question's rationale. Compare the explanation with your reasoning. If a question seems ambiguous or an explanation is unclear, note the topic and question text so you can raise it through chat. Check uncertain clinical claims against an appropriate reference.
Understand your numbers
- Answer accuracy is the percentage of saved answers that were correct. Repeated attempts are included.
- Questions attempted counts distinct questions you have answered.
- Reviewed bank shows currently published questions and how many you have not answered.
- Study streak counts consecutive days with a saved answer. Day boundaries use UTC.
The dashboard refreshes when opened, after practice results are saved in the app, and every 15 seconds while visible. A failed answer submission does not count as a saved result.
Use review mode deliberately
“Review all questions” includes previously answered questions. Use topic practice to revisit a concept you want to work on. Remember that familiarity with a repeated question can improve accuracy without demonstrating the same understanding on a new question.
Keep the result in perspective
Your practice accuracy is not a predicted ADAT score, and the available bank is not a guarantee of complete exam coverage. Use the ADA's official ADAT information to check the examination's scope and requirements.
